What happens if my ceiling / walls are suspected to contain Asbestos ?
We can arrange to have samples sent off for specialist testing that will confirm the presence of Asbestos

Are floors protected whilst plastering is carried out ?
Yes, we use Roll & Stroll carpet and Hardwood protector . We also use disposable sheeting to protect furniture if it cant be removed from the room

Do rooms need to be empty ?
We prefer rooms completely empty to avoid dust and damage that may occur whilst plastering is undertaken. We make every effort to cover and protect furniture

What is monocouche render ?
Monocouche render is colored render that once applied does not need painting and is virtually maintenance free

How should fresh plaster be painted ?
We recommend ‘mist’ coating fresh plaster work by either watering down trade matt paint (70-30%) ratio. This helps seal the plaster with subsequent coats being easier to apply . Fresh plaster paint is available from most retailers

What is an overskim ?
Overskimming is applying fresh plaster to existing walls / ceiling . We use bonding agents to help adhere plaster to surfaces such as gloss/ artex .

Should plaster be shiny or like glass ?
A common misconception is that skim plaster should look shiny or like glass . Skim plaster should be left flat with a Matt finish.
Shiny plaster will make painting harder and is subject to peeling.
